My consultant didn't examine, just looked at the 2 scans I had done 8 weeks apart.
I was in 2 minds about asking questions too but I decided to anyway so I could absorb all the info afterwards.
I asked about size, how it was caused, options on what to do-I wanted to hear NO surgery!!!-recovery, how it would affect fertility, periods, where the cyst was.
My cyst was loculated and I ended up having a biopsy during the operation on my other ovary which came back fine.
Hope your appointment went fine today and you feel more positive afterwards.
Take care!

Hi thanks lil465. I know this sounds crazy but my mind has gone blank as to what I should ask.... That always happens when I'm nervous :-/
What doesn't help is that I'm normally the kind of person that wants to know the ins and outs and need guarantees! Perhaps that's why I'm feeling a little despondent ?
Does the consultant just ask questions tomoro? Or do they examine?
Coz I'm not sure if I want them poking me about coz since ultra sound scan 2 weeks ago my insides hav felt so much more tender.
Lil what kind of cyst did u have? If u don't mind me asking?
Thank u for replying

My cyst was similar in size to yours but my C125 was higher.
I wrote down questions to ask the consultant and wrote down the answers too. Some of my questions were rather silly-upon reflection-but they were all answered in a most kind and reassuring way. She discussed options and explained the procedure she recommended.
I had an op to remove and was incredibly nervous and had many sleepless nights and even night terrors before it actually happened. I then decided to get a grip and focus on how I would recover.
I vowed to "go under in a positive frame of mind" which I did and the operation was a success and I have recovered well.
I hope this helps and good luck for tomorrow!
