freaking out...monday ultrasound

I recently missed a period, I've been on birth control on/off for over 10 years.  Healthy pregnancy and delivery in 2006.  I'm a 38yo female, otherwise generally healthy - normal BMI.  During the time I missed my period (3 weeks ago) I began to exeperience symptoms that mimic'd pregnancy to me.  So I took 3 HPT's which were all negative.   I have minimal bloating occasionally, which I seem to notice more right after a meal.  Nerves may be the culprit in my appetite being "off".. I tend to go that route when I'm worried (not eating properly)... however, I also have loose BM's frequently lately and gurgly belly noises with some gas.  With the missed period I scheduled a Gyno visit - at which time she did a pelvic exam.  She hit my right ovary and it was very sensitive to the exam, and some pains have been present during this 'missed period' and still are - not unbearable, but 'achy' pains in the lower right ovary/pelvic area and even on the lower back same side...  am I freaking myself out?  Why do I go to the worst possible case scenerio - I read horror stories about the big "C" on here - and I'm LOSING MY MIND.   Could my symptoms be a cyst??  My doctor didn't seem ugently concerned, however she scheduled an ultrasound for Monday after asking me what I preferred when she gave me options.  I'm a single mom, of a boy who depends on me - and I'm scared to death... someone tell me I'm not going crazy!!

Hi!
Have you had a transvag ultrasound done? I was experiencing lower back pain, fever, and pelvic pain and bloating along with other symptoms. The US reviled cysts on my right ovary and a possible complex cysts/tumor on my left ovary.
I'm almost 34 years old and naturally petite so even a slight bloat is noticeable. I'm scheduled for surgery on feb 3rd after feeling like I wasn't getting anywhere with my obgyn. Be persistent with your dr.
I believe it's human nature to think of the worst case scenario. I wish you the best of luck and keep me posted.

also, the bloat after meals is so different for me - because I'm fairly thin and it makes me feel like I look like I'm pregnant.  Then it seems to go away somewhat?  Just going crazy on the inside... I always seem to jump to worst case scenerio - which isn't healthy for me!!
