ptsd and meds

I'm 20 years old and was told I suffer from ptsd I was sexually assalted in high school but continued to see my attacker for 2 years since we lived in the same complex and went to the same school . I'm in the USNavy and now go to therapy and also take zoloft but it seems that I have missed my cycle is that normal for this med and also what are some other side effects from it.. I know the doctor told me some but what did you guys experience if you've taken it. Please help

I take 25mg as of now but have been to nervous to go to the 50mg but the longer I'm on the 25 It seems like it not working I still get the aggravated feeling again it went away after I first started
