We just had something terrible happen. My daughter was driving to work, and the van in front of her hit an old man crossing the street, the van didnt stop, my daughter did, the old mans head hit the sidewalk, and from his ears back his skull and brains were all around the intersection. Her and another woman, covered him in thier coats, and tried to comfort him. She said there was blood squirting out of his eye. Another man stopped but when he saw it, he started throwing up in the ditch. I am very worried, PTSD big time now. The police told her that the man died in the ambulance, and this was now a homocide case. She is only 22, and this has definately thrown her into a spin. I suffer from PTSD, and even though she seems somewhat together now, I know that it will eventually haunt her, how could it not. Aside from giving her love and support, does anyone have any other suggestions? Not really knowing if the man died for sure, or if the driver who hit her was caught is unknown to us right now, and the waiting is the hardest.
