A Question about Drinking and Tylenol..need answers ASAP please!

Alright obviously it's a very bad idea to mix alcohol and tylenol, and normally I wouldn't even consider it. However...we have a gift certificate to a REALLY up-scale restaurant in our town, so DH and I are going out tonight...without the kids..for the first time in two years. we REALLY need it, lol. My question is this....I want to have a glass of wine, but I'm taking Vicodin for my migraines. Unfortunately last night a pretty massive migraine started and so I've been having to take the Vicodin all day and I'm not expecting for it to change any time before tomorrow at the soonest. The vicodin is 7.5/750, which is obviously a high dose of tylenol. My question is this..my next dose is "due" at 4PM. We're heading to dinner at 5:30-6. When is the soonest that it would be safe to have a bit of wine? I won't finish the glass, I never do..most likely I'll have a few sips...and I can order the wine later in the dinner. I'm just very paranoid about overloading my liver and obviously CNS depression is a concern....and like I said, normally this question wouldn't even cross my mind I am NOT a drinker...But I really just want to relax and enjoy the evening and have some wine. Since I turned 21 4 years ago I've had all of 2 occasions to drink, none of which have been in the last 3 years, and if I wait until I'm no longer taking a narcotic/tylenol combination to enjoy a drink..I'll be waiting forever.

My other question is. I have percocet 10/325 as well...would it be SAFER to cut this in half (Dr OK'd it) and take it at 4pm instead? I know the tylenol dose would be significantly lower and 5mg oxy is similar to 7.5mg hydro...but I just need to know if this would be a smarter substitution. thank you guys for responding and I don't expect anyone to say it..but please don't judge me. I honestly haven't had a drink in 3 years I am NOT a drinker and I never mix meds with/without alcohol so this really is just about..is it safe?

I agree with TrayCee.  It seems to me if you take the lowest dose, there should not be a problem.  I have taken Norco and had a few beers or a glass of wine and the only problems I've experienced were nausea and throwing up.  My stomach can't handle much of anything, though, and it just isn't worth it to try to drink anymore (even not pregnant).
I hope you have a great time with your DH!

thanks...like I said, CNS depression is a concern as well but I'm less afraid of that than I am of liver toxicity. I'm just very paranoid I take as few meds as possible (pain and other types) and because I never drink I just don't know where the safe lines are.

take the lowest dose of your "pain med" and you'll be fine.  I would worry much more about the opiate and the alcohol than the apap and the alcohol.
