I am a little confused here. Your name (Recovering Addict) suggest you are in recovery. Were you taking these medications with the doctors knowledge if indeed you do have an addiction issue? There is absolutly nothing wrong with being a recovering addict do not get me wrong. I just want to get the facts straight. Regardless of that though the doctor should have tapered you off instead of cold turkey. What reasons did the doctor give?
Please fill us in so we can try and help. Also why are you taking the medications?

Oh no!  What happened?  Was there an explaination for this?  I don't know anything about soma and if there is any withdrawal from it.  The lortab, you were taking a small amount, so hopefully the withdrawal isn't too bad.  I personally have never went through a withdrawal like this, so I have no advice for you.  Good luck.

Please don't freak out, you may feel ill for a few days and that's normal. No one has ever died from going through W/D's. Like the others have said, you should have been weened off of the medication but for some reason, your Doctor thought it was best to just take you off of it all.

People taking larger amounts of narcotics would have something to worry about but in your case, you were not on a very high dose so you'll be alright. Sick for a few days but that's all.

Sorry this has happened. If you feel like responding...what were you on the pain meds for in the first place?

Take care,
Molly
