My name is Jazzi and I'm 46 with many different health problems and I am on many different medications. For pain I am on Lyrica and Cymbalta (for Fibromyalgia), Zanaflex (muscle relaxant) and last but not least I am on liquid Methadone for ALL of my pain. I am on many other medications for allergies, reflux, early onset menopause, pitting edema from Lyrica, migraine meds, I have a whole suitcase full of medications. *sigh*

I had to have my stomach removed in November 2004 and have difficulty absorbing nutrients and some medications. I have used patches in the past, received cortisone injections, used heating pads, ice packs, braces, you name it, I have tried it. I have a TENS Unit, Compression Stockings, Braces on both knees and a walker to help me with the dizziness caused by all the medications. In addition I had to have "First Alert" connected in case I fall and my HP (Husband Person) sleeps through it (It HAS happened) or he is at work. Those are the "I've fallen and I can't get up" people LOL.

It looks like I will end up having a feeding tube placed permanently sometime this year, so things should really get interesting then! Stay tuned............

First I want to welcome you to the Pain Management Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. I want to let you know that there are NO Doctors on this Forum only CP - Chronic Pain - Patients that help each other with our OWN expertise and experiences that we have developed through our OWN CP Issues.

My heart is breaking for you with ALL of the medical problems that you have and at such a YOUNG AGE!!!  NOBODY should EVER {no matter what age} have ALL of the SEVERE debilitating conditions that YOU have!!

The part that is so AMAZING and that I LOVE is that you STILL have managed to keep your SENSE OF HUMOR!!  I can't tell you how much I ADMIRE YOU!!

I LOVE meeting in person one of those "help me I've fallen " people.  LOL  You're that FIRST one I've EVER had the pleasure of meeting!!  :)

I look forward to your participation on the Pain Management Forum.  I think that you will add a LOT of information as well as a lightheartedness.  :)

Welcome! Glad you found us. I'm so sorry to hear about your condition. You've come to the right place! Lots of people here for questions, support, and online HUGS!

I too love your sense of humor! It's very important for us to hang on to that, especially when times get tough!

I too, am on a lot of meds and hate it. I keep thinking of asking to cut back on them, but when I think about "which one", I can't pick out any that don't treat something!!! It's frusterating!!! I recently went on a trip and customs decided to pick me out to search my bags...the first thing they pulled out was my bag with my pill bottles and the guy said, "OK....let's start with all of THESE mam...." RIGHT infront of everyone. VERY embarassing. He proceded to go through each bottle and ask me what it was and why I took it. Jerk. ANYHOW...got sidetracked....:) My point is, we know what you go through here (or can somewhat relate) and that is what makes this a magical place for me at least. When things get hard at home and people around me don't understand...I can come here for support and now so can you! :)

Welcome to our Pain Management Forum. I am glad that you found us. My goodness you poor dear. You certainly have a full plate. You are very courageous. Bless your heart.

How on earth do you eat now if you have no stomach and no tube inserted for nourishment. It must be extremely challenging.

Our informational exchange and support is wonderful.

We come here to share our challenges, happiness, sorrows, wins and losses. We fall down and our MH "Friends" assist us back up....and vise versa. We welcome you to our community and look forward to learning more about you.
