Extreme pain in right thigh and leg
The patient has been suffering extreme pain in the right thigh and leg since 2004 - The pain is
comparable to a hamstring pain or quoting the patient, like produced by a red hto iron. She can
not sick, only possible relief is laying on her back. She endeavours to walk one hour a day.
Appetite is normal but the constant pain is now beginning to affect endurance. Sciatic nerve was
suspected at the beginning but proved not the source. A number of medications have been prescribed
during the years - together with a two months stay in a well-known hospital in vain. Present day
medication is of the neurological type. It seems that part of the pain stems from the thigh's
muscular area. Any help or advice welcome. Thanks.

Thank you for your suggestion.. I think i really have to see my doctor as soon as possible because the pain now is more intense than before. Thanks again.

I have had this very malady for YEARS it started intermittently (mostly at night when in bed) than progressed over the years to CONSTANT..
It was finally dx'd as sciatica and I was put on a medication called gabapentin (neurontin)....and it was a life saver, I could sit and lay comfortable finally....1800mg
I've been on it 4-5 yrs and have had to increase it occasionally but with no side effects.
ask you're doctor abt this and see if its appropriate in you'r case, good luck.

i have the same problem which bothers me for 4 months now.. i have this pain in my right thigh that extends down to my leg..the pain comes and goes..lasts approximately to 1 minute only. It attacks any time of the day even in the evening while i am sleeping. I could feel the pain like burning..oh it's so difficult to explain it but sure it's very painful. I am afraid to see a doctor but am planning to do so because the pain now is more intense and frequent. Any idea what is this pain all about?
