The tinglong and burning sensations you described are definately due to a nerve involvement rather than a vascular involvement.
Nerve can be compressed right from its origin (roots) in the vertebrae to anywhere in its course.
However its unlikely that both yours legs be involved by a very symmetrical injury to both sides. However the possibility cant be ruled out.
And yes the systemic diseases cant be ruled out as these cause bilateral involvement of nerves like diabetic neuritis, or other neuritis as these cause bilateral disease.
i wish u all these best and yes see a doctor soon
Hey thank you, and yes i do plan to see a doctor very soon :) just curious what others though it could be
Hi Tara,
Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. I am sorry to hear about your painful symptoms.
You're pretty young to have peripheral vascular disease if you are otherwise healthy.... however you are describing symptoms that would support that diagnosis. It's also possible that the pain is originating in the knees but it seems unlikely that both would be painful unless you are experiencing some early arthritic issues.
I encourage you to consult your PCP. A complete physical may be a good idea. I hope you'll let us know how you are doing...and don't stop praying. :o)
Peace,
~Tuck
