I don't see where you messed up. You went the hospital and it's not uncommon to give you a few pain pain pills when they send you home.
I'm so sorry your Dr acted like this. Apparently he's never been in chronic severe pain before.
I hope you can get this sorted out very soon.
Sounds like some young punk doctor on a power trip ("I tried, he walked away").
From your post, it looks like you're not only awaiting surgery for something very painful, but you've got an additional medical problem that is so bad that even the ER gave you oxycodone (which, from what I've read, is getting quite rare these days).
My opinion is either the doctor is a nit-picking jerk, or, he was "acting" a bit ("all for show") to let you know how serious pain medication, contracts, extra meds, etc., can be. And, I guess that would be all right.
Let's see if everything goes back to normal (then, you'll know it was "for show," and you can make sure never to slip up again), or, otherwise, if he DOES drop you, or drops your meds, then maybe you would want to re-read your pain contract. There's probably something in there that says you CAN receive extra meds from someplace else, if it is an emergency, and if you tell your doctors about it.
I'm sorry to hear that happened to you.
I tried, he walked away from me and said he did not want to know the results of my mri. I dont even know if he is still going to prescribe neurontin
Talk with your doctor and explain your perspective.
