Long time pain patient seeking info

Hello there... I have been a pain management patient since 2008, when I was put on a new medication (old now) opana. It worked great back then. Well as we know it has been re formulated many times since then. I thought it had stopped working, so back in oct of 2016 pain mgmt dr put me on methadone 10mg tablets total of 6 at 3 pills twice daily. With breakthrough of 3 percocets. Before that in 2008 my breakthrough was norco. Well, I was having horrible bones and muscle deep aches from the methadone so this past Monday was put back on my opana 20mg 2x daily with my breakthrough of 4 Percocet a day. It's been quite a crazy last 3 days, but I am no longer having the deep muscle aches at least, just runny eyes, sneezing, and runny nose (just a little) but only on day 3 of the change back, I have read plenty of forums looking for the right medication and there is just an overwhelming amount of info it's hard to get through so I thought I'd just post my own question. I have double scoliosis, DDD, herniated discs (all in my lower back) fissures in between discs and one leg a bit shorter than the other that I was born with also. I have been in a few accidents, one at age 12 (I'm 43 now) where I fell on my tailbone on a girls roller skate (prob a fracture, never went to a dr for that), a fractured pelvis at 19 from a car accident, and was in another accident where we were rear ended resulting in smacking us into the car ahead and I was sitting in a sideways manner. So, that's my history. My question is going from that amount of methadone back to that amount of opana, will it be a smooth crossover for the most part? I saw my pcp today and she said it sounded like I was definitely not on the right dose of methadone to begin with but I really don't want to get wrapped up in taking up to 200mg of that or something crazy. Any help and info would be sooo very greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. Anything else you need to know, do not hesitate to ask.
