Thank You for your thoughts. Do you suffer with the condition or Do you treat the condition. I believe the sponsorship is a good thing because it is supporting research and awareness as companies do for many diseases that need research for cures and treatments. This is not saying that all should go out and consume all of these products. People will choose to buy and consume foods and beverages no matter what. I believe the point is providing help to those that suffer with illnesses that need help to heal.
Our world is full of commercially produced products good and bad.
I think it is wonderful when people help others to further good for all those that need help and suffer in this life as everyone does or will at some point.
I really am sorry the picture offended you , as the point was awareness of the disease just as similar companies provide support and awareness for other conditions as well. The point is cures are needed and support!
Hi kfri and welcome to the forum.
I'm reposting a recent reply of mine from another part of the forum, but not before expressing my disappointment, that a corporation that makes and sells artificial chemical drinks, possibly contributing to the ill health of millions of unsuspecting and uninformed consumers, is the sponsor of refresh hope,
a program designed to find answers for a syndrome where conventional medicine has very little to offer to the sufferers.
Just do a search for the effects of Pepsi consumption and its effects on PH
balance. Also the effects of consuming artificial sweeteners as in diet Pepsi.
If you or a loved on suffers from CRPS, I urge you to look into this and if you indeed verify this controversy, please consider taking a firm position against
this sponsor, who is most likely playing "caring" corporate citizen, in order to further exploit the market in disguise. What a shame!
Nonetheless, it is just a suggestion based on my own personal views.
This post may be removed, should any member find the "Refresh Hope" offensive and report it as such, or if MedHelp considers it as unauthorized advertising of a branded product on their forum, even if it the intentions are to find a cure for CRPS.
Here's the repost:
RSD has been renamed Complex Regional Pain Syndrome, in recent years.
The main characteristic of this condition is that it usually stems from an inflammatory response to tissue injury, leading mainly to severe pain -one of the most painful conditions of all !!!, affecting greatly limb motion and less to swelling , skin changes ( temperature, increased sensitivity etc) decreased bone density, joint stiffness muscle spasms and other symptoms .
It has many similarities with MS,as it involves the central nervous system
and share similar symptoms.
Last year I facilitated pain management and pain reduction with Hypnosis and EFT for a person diagnosed with CRPS.
Topical 30% DMSO solution also seemed to help with the severity of the pain. It's a tough condition to live with!
Cheers!
Niko
