Pain not going away what to do?

I have had back for awhile (a good few years) and then the past month or so I have had hip pain, I went to the doctors about 2 weeks ago as it's unbearable and she prescribed me Naproxen which I have been taking 3 times a day and also with paracetamol. The pain hasn't gone infact it's moved and it's gotten worse (but with a different sort of pain) The doctor told me to give it 3-4 weeks and then to go back. So you think I should make an appointment or just wait another couple of weeks? I just don't really want to be wasting their time.
