go see a back specialist, sounds more then a pulled muscle
I would definitely ask the Dr to order more test. Have you had x rays or and MRI?
Hello Annie,
I am so sorry you are in so much pain. If I understand correctly your pain began in your lower back or upper buttocks and is now radiating down the back of your leg? Minus the "pulling" pain in your Achilles Tendon that is exactly how I felt for years. The pain would (does) go into my Achilles Tendon and sometimes in to the foot. I went years undiagnosed. If you can point to the spot in your buttocks where the pain is it is a common sign that this may be your Sacroiliac Joint.
I am not saying that that is what you are experiencing. It is rare, difficult to diagnosis and often undiagnosed. But whatever it is I agree that you need more testing. It does not sound like a "pulled" muscle. An MRI will not DX an SI Joint problem but you still should ask to have one done. You may very well have something else going on. Sometimes and X-ray of the SI Joint will show a dysfunction and sometimes it won't.
I wish you the best of luck. Please keep in touch and let us know how you are doing. Take Care, Tuck
