Go and get the Hernia corrected and at the same time have them trim back/remove the Adeheasions. Should be good for about a year before they grow back but their is a chance by then you may not develop pain again. Its a roll of the Dice that they will grow back and produce new problems but it should be done. I personally had the same thing done and the 2nd time produced no new problems
Sorry to hear about your outcome, but at least you have reason for your pain. Only sad thing is really nothing you can do for the adhesion pain according to doctors, unless you take pain pills for it. I guess it is something we will just have to adjust to.
I don't know much about diverticulitis except modifying the diet.
I really hope your pain lessens in time. I will post once I know my outcome, but that won't be for another 2 weeks.
Pelvis adhesion is a annoy trouble for a lady. Well Chinese Herbal medicine could do something on that. We used to use the herbs which act as "move blood stasis" significantly relieved pain and improve the adhesion in the pelvic. If you interested in this method, I do suggest you go to see a experienced Chinese medicine doctor in local, maybe he will help you in that way.
Well my CT Scan came back and surprise I also have Diverculitis on the left side and Hiatus Hernia but strangely all my pain is in the right pelvis pinching and hurts when i sit use hot water bottles and get low back pain so really think right side is adhesions from previous surgery with IBS thrown in for good measure all i know is it hurts and Piles and Constipation made worse by pain killers, have to take bucketloads of Fybogel and Colpermin and Water. Looks like a change of diet necessary all my fav things must go coca cola, coffee, cigs etc. Concerned they will now discount my endometriosis/adhesion history found after laparoscopy/hysteroscopy and removal of tubes in previous ops. I totally understand how you feel. I had a laparotomy back in 09 for ovary/complex cyst removal & a tumor in very lower part of the pelvis area. I know I have scar/adhesions on the left side of my entire abdomain. It is very painful if I eat at times. I don't eat as much anymore or heavy due to the fact that it will kill my left side when my food is digesting. I have been to PCP before & he says most likely scar tissue, take OTC for pain. I had one surgeon say the same thing.
I have accepted the fact that unless I push for more surgery I have to learn to deal with it. I do take Miralex daily to help so I don't become constipated because then it would really be painful. For me, I do not want another surgery because it will only create more, so it is like a cycle. Now unless they tell me the scar tissue is hindering my intestine & that is why I have the pains I do when I eat more than once a day then I will get the surgery done.
The only reason I am going through a ct scan, ultra sound & small bowel study & colonoscopy is because I went to my surgeon 2 weeks ago for fistula issues. (An on going 2 yr issue) When he inquired about my low weight I told him, I dare NOT eat more than once a day & it is usually dinner because I will be miserable at work if I dare ate breakfast or lunch. At least with dinner I can be miserable on the couch. I do feel GREAT on an empty stomach through out the day, but gotta eat. I had been to my PCP prior to the surgeon & he is the one who said it is most likely scar tissue & surgery really would NOT help me any. I will get my gyno's opinion though when I see her in June. The surgeon I saw for the fistula did say that really only gyno's believe in scar tissue pain, he was skeptical about it causing my issues.
I guess we will see in the next 3 weeks what my outcome will be...
