I was told to watch for edema especially with my blood pressure meds.  I remember one med I was on had the rash as a side effect as well, wish I could remember which!

If you have pitting edema- where if you press down on the swollen area the indentation or 'pit' stays you might want to go see your PCP or even go to the ER. Pitting edema can be very serious and differs from regular edema or swelling.

Here's a basic definition & pic of pitting edema. There's better information out there; but, especially if this is unusual for you you might want to really consider getting checked out by a MD.

I think you might want to give a little more information about how much swelling, how long you've had it, how far up the leg, etc., and what type of rash ... itchy, bumpy, etc.

I've been having trouble with some swelling in my feet for the past couple of months.  Thought ibuprofen might have been the culprit but going off it only helped a little.  I have it mostly in the left foot, not as bad in the right.  Still trying to figure it out.

Lots of meds can cause it.  You could check in with your doctor or even call the pharmacist and ask if any of the meds you're on could cause these particular side effects.

Best of luck.
