Hi!
Starting exercising at a fast pace or overdoing it can cause muscle aches and pains. You need to slow down the pace of exercising. As of now you need to apply ice, rest the sore foot, and take a pain killer like Aleve that you are planning. Also, if your walking shoes are not right for you then this will also cause frictional injury and pain. So see if you need to give extra padding or change your foot wear.
Since, a confirmed diagnosis is not possible on net, please consult your doctor regarding this once to check whether it is a muscle strain or frictional injury or or something more. Take care!

The doctor gives great advice, as usual. The only thing i think is also important to mention is the need to "warm up" before starting exercising. Warming up to me would be to make sure I stretch the muscles that I'll be targeting during my workout. Proper stretching can prevent many muscle pulls, as well as a lot of aches and pains post workout. It won't cure all aches and pains, etc., but it will certainly not hurt you to do so! take care.

Yes Shinty, fully agree--adequate warm up before and cool down after the exercise is very important.
I actually went to the foot doctor yesterday and he said it looked like metatarsaglia? Because of the brain of the foot and y tennis
Shoes bending a certain way doesn't have enough cushion for me
Feet so he Gave me inserts for my shoes which really do make a difference and told me to take Aleve which I have to buy today. I am really glad I went because he said my problem is very common and he was actually going to do a surgery on someone who got it but theirs got worse. And I'm glad I went when I did.
The bend of the foot. Not the brain. Sorry I'm on my phone. And it's
Driving me crazy.
