Sorry about freaking out

I just wanted to say sorry for freaking out yesterday. I was in shock and I should of never got on the computer til I was better. Anyway I talked to my bestfriend, she is doing ok she told me when everything was going to be and I am going to try to make it down to it. Her daughter (my god daugher) isn't doing very good, she is 14. I guess he "did" it outside their house, she is going to move back into the house but not yet she needs time to heal. She is staying with her mom right now. I remember when my other friend was killed my best friend came to see me the next day. She has always been there for me and my kids and I want to be there for her.
My family dr did fax everything over to the new pain dr. I am just waiting for them to call. The other reason I don't want to see the other pain dr is he is going on vacation so I won't be able to see him for atleast 10 weeks, no way I can deal with this pain that long. He didn't even start my treatment so I think I can just change drs right? The contract he said don't go into effect til he starts giving me meds which never happen.  My pain is being controled right now thank goodness. My family doctor has helped me out alot in the last few months and I really don't see how she could know how much. I won't be asking her for anymore meds I will just wait til my pain dr appt. She has done enough for me. I really don't like to be treated by other doctors when they aren't the ones that caused the problems.
Thank you guys for all you have done for me, you also have been there for me in the last few months and I thank you for that.

Absolutely, hang on to the appointment until you hear from the other Dr. and then if they require it also see if that Dr. is acceptable to him/her and if so YOU already have an appt. For once you will be ahead of the game.  YAY, Jamie!!! Things might ACTUALLY work to your benefit this time!!!! Who'd have thunk????

My family doctor has already faxed everything to the new pain dr and I am just waiting to hear from them. I called my family dr again and asked if this one is the same as the last one if I had to go to a shrink first and how long the wait is to get in and I haven't heard back yet. I already have a appointment with a shrink and I don't know if I should cancel it or not since it was for the other pain dr.. I guess i just sit and wait now til I hear something from one of them.

Jamie,  You certainly have NOTHING to apologize for. I would have "freaked out" much more than you did!! I'm so glad that you are going to be with your friend. You're the rock that she needs right now.

Absolutely, you should DEFINITELY be looking ASAP for another PM Dr. Don't hesitate!!! You don't have to worry about anything because you haven't been prescribed anything at all from him. Get started girl!!!!

I would think you could change PMP if you cannot see your new one for 10 weeks and he has prescribed nothing for you. So start searching.

And no need to apologize for "freaking out." We all do it from time to time and as everyone has said, that's one of the reasons we are here.  

Being supportive to your friend at this very difficult time is extremely important. I was so glad to have other's around when my father recently passed. Just knowing that others care about you or carried about your love one helps ease the pain of a loss. So do what you need to do for your friend.
