I did not know about pamelor.

When I saw my PM doctor last June.  I emphazise that I cant take any time of antidepessant. Ten years ago, I suffered for TIA when I was on zoloft. I was told by a neurologist not to take any antidepessant.  In 1999, I was given seraquol for pain.  Little did I know what it was I had a seizure with it.  The PM doctor told me this medication was to help me at night instead of soma.  I had complain every month of my symtoms were getting worse.  I have five days left on this  I dont want to take it anymore.  Seeing a new PM dr dont know when and I dont want to get any refil on pamelor. What should I do?

Have you got an appointment with a new PM Doctor? If not I would suggest doing so. It deems like your current Doctor is not listening to you and treating your pain so you can manage. There are some really great pain management Doctors you just have to keep looking. We have all been there and we have all seen several before finding the right one. I know it is very frustrating but it has to be done. Finding the right Doctor is very important. Let me know if you need some help, I will be glad to help all I can:)

Hello Lettetalk,

I am sorry to hear about your situation.

In my opinion the only thing that you can do is to discuss this with your PMP as you have  on this forum. Be honest and upfront with your PMP and hopefully he will work with you. I don't think you should be made to take a medication that has caused or possibly caused seizure activity.

If your current PMP will not work with you remember that he/she is not the only one in the world. Seek a second opinion.... or even a third. We hire these physicians to do a service for us. If they do not perform the service to our liking than we have the right to hire another one and move one.

Please let us know how this turns out for you. I will look forward to your updates. Best of luck.

Peace,
~Tuck
