Severe Back Pain Need stronger Pain Meds

Hi Everyone,
I am in so much pain this morning and the Percocet aren't helping. I have Lyme Disease, Degenerative Disks at L4 and L5, 2 operations fr severe PID. I also have a retroverted uterus that is too big and compressing my spine. The Dr told me 2 weeks ago I needed a hysterectomy. Then I found out I had Lyme and that went on back burner. I am scared to death to have my stuff cut out. I am so skinny so i feel my organs and what happens when they are gone? I take 180 10 mg Percocets a month and my rheumatologist decided to cut me to 120 this month. I have been n same dose for years and they dont do anything for this pain when it gets this bad. I would say 8 out of 10 on pain scale.
I thought with all this going on i could have the guts to sy hey i need swome other medicine but no.
Last surgery i had to remove scar tissue from organs so they where not attached to my side. They gave me 30 5 mg percocet. I was in so much pain i called and said i have prescription for 180 10 mg and i need something stronger. They would not give it to me and I refuse to take more than 2 10 mg pills at time because i dont want to run out.

I am scared to have another surgery cause last one was like healing with no pain meds cause i took what i take everyday to recover from that. Can i have my primary Dr be the one who gives me pain meds instead of rheumatologist who doesnt have anything to do with Lyme or Pain Problems or can i at least have my Family Dr call her and tell her i need my other 60 pills that i should not be cut short like this with all this going on. I dont know what to do. If pain gets to bad could i go to ER and they see My uterus is inflammed and on my spine causing more pain while on my period.  Not only do i need my 60 pills to make my regular script for the month i need something stronger to help with this excruciating pain.

I think that you have a great plan. It sounds as if you really need the Doctor care right now. Hang in there.

I called my Dr and he is out till next week. I scheduled app with gyn there for 2 pm. I am now throwing up cause pain is so bad or else antibiotics for Lyme is makin gme sick. I am going to tell them to give me something stronger and schedule hysterectomy or admit me to hospital so they can regulate the pain. I am sure i could more Percocet to take pain away but i wont do that in fear of running out since my rheumatologist took 60 away for no good reason.

Don't you just hate drama from the Doc's! My suggestion is to have your regular Doc do the prescribing. Have him/her call the Rheumatologist and make that transition.

Also, while you're talking with your regular Doc, see if they can't prescribe something stronger. Maybe an extended release tab. It sounds like you would benefit from it more than what your getting now.
