Sorry I forgot to say that a shower will change the temperature of your body. So to get an accurate reading do NOT take a shower until you have recorded the temp before and after the chills begin. And do not take a antipyretic (fever or pain reducer) until you have completed the before and after temperature recordings.
Again good luck and please let us know how you are doing. Tuck
Hello and welcome to our forum. I am sorry to hear about your chills. Sandee is correct, there are multiple things that could be causing your "chills." Chills are a serious symptom needing prompt professional medical diagnosis.
Have you taken your temperature during this time. That will most likely be the first question a physician will ask you. Often "the chills" is our bodies response to a rising fever. It could be a low grade one and not so noticeable that you will feel like you have a fever. So it is important to record your temp once the chilling begins and after it stops. It can mean you have an infection that you are not aware of or an abscess in your body. Again this can be a serious condition and should not be dismissed.
When this occurs again you can make a trip to your local ER. Give them your history and they can eliminate some of the very serious conditions this can be the route of your symptoms. I don't mean to scare you but the etiology must be investigated.
Good luck to you. Please let us know how you are doing. I will look forward to your next update with interest. Take Care. Tuck

Here are some free clinics in your area.
Call your local state assistance offices and they can help you find medical care. Alot of doctors see pts on a sliding fee scale too so that may help. Get on the phone and call around in your area for clinics that will help you.
let me know if you can't find the numbers.
thank you for your reply.. i am located in Fremont, CA. Its been aprox. 2 months id say as far as i can remember. And it seems to be my only real symptom. Yea im looking into finding a free clinic or something that can run a few free tests. im litterally living paycheck to paycheck and have absolutly no extra money. any ideas?
There are so many things that could be causing your symptoms. I would definatly get to a doctor and have some test run. It could be a nasty virus causing this though, how long has this been going on?
Every state offers some kind of medical help, what state are you in? If you need help with this let me know.
