Hi Melisa:  Have you ever had abdominal surgery, blunt force trauma or abdominal infection?  If so, you could possibly be looking at adhesions.  The swelling, pain et al are all familiar to this adhesion sufferer.

Do you feel a cramping feeling with occasional constipation?  Or do you ever feel as if someone has plunged a hot knife into you?

Adhesions will not show up on normal imaging unless you're blocked.  Let me know if any of this sounds familiar.

Hi,  my daughter has been complaining of stomach pain for several years, we finally just recently found out the reason why.  She has gastroperisis, which means that her stomach does not digest properly.  When a normal person eats the stomach digests quickly within hours, with her stomach the food would still be in there 3 days later.  Her stomach does get swollen, and she is often in alot of pain.  I don't know if that could be the cause of your problems but it might be something the doctors could check.
Good Luck,
Dawn

Hello Melisa,

Welcome to MedHelp's Pain Management Community. I am so sorry to hear that you are experiencing these painful and troublesome symptoms.

Unfortunately your symptoms can be caused from a wide variety of medical conditions. Sandee suggested that you consult an OB/GYN. I agree with that suggestion.

Another thought is are you having a gastrointestinal problem. Colitis or IBS can produce the symptoms you describe as can celiac disease. Other conditions such as a lactose deficiency, carbohydrate malabsorption, or fat malabsorption may be considered. These are conditions that your physician may have already considered.

Have you been evaluated by a gastroenterologist?

Your health care is dependant upon your parents or guardian. I am certain that they too are concerned. Please discuss your distress with them. They are your best advocates. I am not a physician or an expert. You may have none of the things I posted. The most important action you can take is to get your parents involved, if they are not already. Strangers on a web-site cannot substitute for good parenting or their love and guidance in your health care issues. So please discuss your concerns with them.

We will look forward to hearing your updates. I wish you the very best and hope you will soon find a solution.

Take Care,
~Tuck

Hi,
Welcome to the pain management community:)
I really have no clue as the test are not showing anything. What do the Doctor's say? Are they giving any reason's as to why you are experiencing these symptoms? They can see the swelling obviously so they have to see something is not right. Have they given you any type of medications?
You really need to have your parents keep demanding they find out what the problem is. We know our own bodies better than anyone so when you say something is wrong I believe it is. The pain is a signal something is wrong and needs to be addressed.
Talk to your parent's and let them know how bad this is hurting you and have them make you another appointment. Get a second third or as many opinions needed until you find the answer. There are Doctors who will not stop until they find out whats wrong and treat the pain until they find the correct treatment. Do not give up honey. Your too young to be having such problems.
Does the pain resemble menstrual pain at all? You may need to see your OB-GYN.
I would ask your Mom to get you an appointment with your OB Doctor right away to rule out any women's health issues and go from there. Pelvic Inflammatory Disease ( PID) can cause some of the symptoms your describing.
I hope your feeling better very soon:)
Let us know how your appointment goes and were here for you and will help any way we can even if you just need to talk.
