I believe taking fertility drugs can stress the ovaries.  Since the infertility problem is the male factor, will you consider discontinuing the fertility drugs and see if this helps with pain after ovulation?

Also, consider at ovulation, your estrogen is at its peak level.  If you have endometriosis, the high estrogen stimulates the growth of endometrosis implants.  Typically, endometriosis is not discovered without spotting it during surgery.  Do you have painful menses, a typical symptom with endometriosis?

I definitely agree to go see your OB/GYN....I have a history of rupturing ovarian cysts...I've had 4 laprascopic surgeries removing them as well as my appendix because of them.

They hurt something awful!!! The hard part was that it hurts the absolute worst right when they rupture you think you may die....But the main rupture only lasts about an hour or so...So by the time I got to the ER the first time this happened I felt bad that my pain was lessened by the time they got me into the Dr.....but thankfully they did an ultrasound and saw this as well as other ovarian cysts...

The bad part about them rupturing a lot is that it can cause adhesions...which is this sticky scar tissue that can attach to any of your organs....and anytime you move they pull/tug and cause pain as well..

For me...as soon as I stopped taking the pill (birth control) I stopped having cysts rupture....It was the weirdest thing as it's usually the opposite of going on it to help. But this took all those surgeries to figure this out unfortunately and now I just deal with adhesions but I can do this with exercise and stretching...

So...long story....it's best to seek out your Dr. and find out what the cause of your pain is...

Good luck.

I will tell you why I say to see OB/GYN...
My 16 year old daughter has always complained about stomach aches. Most of the time is was gas. I would take her to the Doctors, and hospitals. Most of the times were in the evening. So I would give her Tums. Ask her if it felt better. Usually works. She would stress about going back to school. And her stomach would start to get gas pains.

One night she walks in telling me she hurts. I am tired, cranky, and I am alitle irritated. I tell her to take 2 Tums. So she does and disappears to her room.  About 30 mind later she comes back and says she still hurts. I'm like, fine! I take her to the ER. And we wait. Shes not really complaining horribly. And she gets blood work,  Ultrasound. I am looking at it. And the tech is looking and measuring. I thought she was looking a the Ovary but inlarged on screen by her.

Long story... its was an Ovarian Cyst, with a blood supply. It ruptured. She was bleeding internally. She was rushed into surgery. They did save the ovary. It was the size of a fist. I was like.... How can you not feel a baseball in you gut?   But I felt like the worst Mom. And she is now 20 years old. She was put on Loestrin 24. Its a birthcontrol. The OB/GYN says that the extra hormones will help prevent future Abnormal Cysts.

But please see OB. I am no Doctor.

Does it happen every month? Every woman gets ovarian cysts. Most don't even know. Normally filled with liquid. They pop, and get obsorbed into the body. Some do feel the pain. But there are some that can be a real problem.

I would go discuss it with my OB/GYN.

Let us know what happens!
