ankle injury

I went to the doctor and got xrays but they said that nothing was wrong. I've had a lump under my ankle that feels like bone. I've had it for a little over a month. It cause pain to my whole foot. I sprained it but I have no idea why the bump is there. What could it be?

Apparently when you sprain it really bad you can rupture blood vessel and that's what it is

I understand exactly what you mean!  How is it supposed to be there when it wasn't before???  I'd call, and ask the doctor exactly that question. Isn't it funny how we always think of these things AFTER we are out of the doctor's office? Let us know what the doctor says please, I'm curious.

The lump was there. The doctor thought it could have been e bone splinter but said I just sprained it badly. When he looked over the xrays he said it was suppose to be there. I don't see how is suppose to be there when its never been there before.

Was the "lump" there when the x rays were taken? If it was then just call the doctor and ask him/her what the "lump" is. If it wasn't then by all means go back to the doctor and show it to him/her. I have no idea what it is, as i first thought it may be fluid, but fluid wouldn't feel hard like bone would. Good luck, and let us know what it is/was.
