My Dear,

I HOPE that you will proceed VERY cautiously with this ALSO!!  I'm quite concerned about the side effects that Tuck just provided on here.  I don't know - MAYBE it's just Me - BUT when you mention Liver Function AND Seizures in the same sentence - it make me VERY LEERY!!!

PLEASE take care of yourself!!!   You KNOW how I am about reminding people to CHECK with their Doctors First!!  I think I'm SECOND ONLY to Tuck.  LOL  :)

Good Luck.........Sherry

Hi Bcilliers,

I think you've made a wise choice.Very little research has been done to see what side effects may occur with the use of skullcap. This is very true of most herbal supplements. We tend to assume that because something is natural it must be good for us. We forget that many poisons are also natural substances.

Because there is so little research on most natural supplements there is little information available on side effects. According to what I have read there are some potential nasty side effects that include, change in liver function, stupor. severe drowsiness, confusion, seizures and more. If you are considering this supplement please consult with your physician. It just sounds too risky.

There may be ppl that disagree with my opinion, that's okay. Obviously some reports/articles are more glowing.  I am just very leery of unfounded miracle claims. So again please consult your PCP or pharmacist.  They will have a lot more dependable information.

Take Care,
~Tuck

Maybe it will work for you. I didn't want to scare you. But, if you do try it, make sure to ask your doctor if it interacts with any of your meds. It was just terrible for me. I have never had anything make me that sick, but I am very sensitive to medications.

The filler just got changed in my Oxycontin, and I'm feeling pretty terrible, so I'm not always a great example of the general population, lol:)

Hi Bcilliers I tried it once and got so ill from it. I had a night of throwing up! I've never heard of using it for fibro pain. Drinking that tea was the one thing that made me realize how strong herbs can be!
