bad pains and bleeding

not sure that if this is the right subject but maybe some one can still help me
i had no period in oct. then in nov. i bled for three weeks it was light but i was still cramping took preg test one positive on negative. last couple of days i have been having horrible pains in my sides and bleeding lightly and at one point it was heavy. earlier this week i went to the dr they said i was not preg. so what could be wrong with me why am i having these badddd pains and bleeding? sorry if not the right subject i just need help

thanks to the both of you. im not sure what it is but everytime i go to the dr they just give me birth control thinking its going to fix everything but it does not it makes things worse and i have not been on bc in months

It sounds like it's time to make an appt. to see your Doctor. Don't let it go. Things like this are the body's way of telling you that something is wrong.

It sounds like it could be uterine bleeding. Did they diagnose you with fibroids? That can cause heavy bleeding but not for 3 weeks. It can also be a ruptured cyst.  So you went to the doctor and they said you were not pregnant but what do they think it is? it's not okay to bleed for 3 weeks! Go to another doctor.   Get it checked out either way.  You didn't mention your age, that also matters alot but either way it's not okay to bleed like that.  You didn't mention the amount of blood. That's another important factor.  Good luck and get this checked out further.
