burning areas of skin

I have burning sensations on my skin. the areas move but lately have been located where my hip and torso meet-groing area, i guess, but not the "private part" where panties line would be. It does not feel hot to touch, not red, just burns and so badly i feel need to press on it. has been on shoulder, back, feet, etc.  i do not have diabetes.

I agree with mollyrae, it sounds like a nerve issue.  Have you had any kind of injury to the areas that have been hurting?  It may help to see your doctor and tell him/her what is going on and they might be able to  help you out.  How long has this been going on?  Does the pain/discomfort seem to be the same or has it gotten worse as time goes on?
