Hi Willybear,
Welcome to the Pain Management Community. I am glad you have found us.
There are two answers to your initial question as to why morphine showed up in your husbands drug screening. He could have recently eaten a lot of poppy seeds just prior to the screening, sometimes that will cause a false positive test. More realistically he ingested a drug (narcotic) that showed up in the screen. THC (pot/weed) will not show as morphine.
Trigger point injections will also not cause a positive on a drug screening. There are several narcotics that will show up as morphine.
I hope my response help clear up your questions. Good luck to you. Tuck
because dr found in my husband & i and we've never taking or had surgery. is it in trigger point injections?
The only way morphine will show up in your urine is for you to have taken it or possibly have it administered by staff during a hospitial stay.
Why do you ask?
