undiagnosed PAIN

I need help!  I have pain in my upper right abdomin. It started 5 monthes ago. It startes in the upper right abdomin just below my rib cage, it progresses to the middle and left abdomin, and sometimes it hurts in my back directly behind the upper right abdomin. When it started it was primarily about an hour after I eat. now it happens when ever. I am keeping a journal and can see no pattern. I have had 3 colenoscopies, 3 endoscopies, I have swalloed a camera (capsule endoscopy) I have MRI's, CT's, Ultra Sounds, my labs are OK (sometimes my sedrate is high- or I cant remember what the Dr called it but my red blood cells are making a lot of new red blood cells) They have done all kinds of poop tests. At one point a Dr said H-Pylori but the treatment had no effect. and another Dr said the previous Dr. was just shooting in the dark because evidently I have been tested for that 4 times and all were neg. (I have copies of all the test results)  I have had bouts of vomiting where I lost 30lbs in little over a month, Current Dr. gave me Compazine and that has stopped the vomiting and the nausia is almost gone. I had my gall bladder removed years ago so it is not that. My current Dr. is stumped however she is determined to stick with me untill we find a diagnosis.
My symptoms are--I dont know if all are related or just **** that happens
PAIN as stated above
nausia
vomiting (under Control)
sometimes my right eye will blure out
insomnia
Shaky
lighheaded
I have had to be rehydrated 2 times
hot flashes

Right now I am taking Liquid dilauded 5mg per tsp. 1 tsp every 4-6 hrs.    this takes the pain from about an 8 down to a 5, it makes me very loopie but not help me sleep.

I am at my wits end....HELP!!!

Thanks for the support. I am not the type to give up (not like the paid would let me) Where other Dr.s have given up and said to go the the pain clinic, this Dr. agrees the other symptoms don't add up to cronic pain syndrome.  If you woulnt mind saying a prayer for me I would appreciate it.

Welcome to MH. I am so sorry to hear about your undiagnoised pain and the problem they are having searching for the reason. Let me apologize for the slow response to your post. I have been gone most of the week at the hospital with my Mom. Responses are slower on Sundays.

It sounds as if you have been through the gamut of diagnostic tests to no avail. I wish I had some answers for you. All I can tell you that you seem to be doing all the right things. Your pain sounds as if it is originating in the area of the liver. Ultrasounds and CT's along with routine labs should have rule any issues in that area out some time ago.

I would suggest that you continue with  your current physician as long as she is so committed to getting to the root of your pain. She also seems to be controlling your pain successfully. Each of which are important. If she does not come up with a diagnosis I would not give up. Sometimes it takes many eyes to put all the pieces of the puzzle together.

Others will post with information and suggestions that may be more helpful than I am able to be at this time. What you will find at MH is lots of support and people who care about your struggle and your pain. All of us have been there or are there now. Please keep use posted on your progress. Take care and best of luck in your search. Tuck
