numb toes

I have plantar fascitis.  More than one year ago a podiatrist injected my plantar facia & between my toes for what she believed to possibly be symptoms from a neuroma.  SInce then my three toes ( little toes & the two medial) have been numb.  More noted when I am not wearing shoes.  Recently yet another podiatrist told me that the numbness may be related to L3, L4.  That numbness in those three toes is related to a dermatome affecting L3  L4.  I have no back symptoms.  What can this numbness be related to?  Can I get some relief with conservative treatment?

It sounds like to me the Dr inserted the meds in the incorrect place and therefore your experiencing numbness. I don;t really know if there is something that will reverse this, have you gotten a second opinion or asked the Dr can she fix this problem? It doesn't sound at all like you have disc problems you WOULD KNOW for sure if you were the pain would be alarming to you. I would consult another Dr and maybe they will tell you if the meds were administered incorrectly and will have some answers for you.
I hope you are doing better very soon!
