ouch wrist pain

yesterday i fell and landed on my outstretched hands, however my left palm was facing my forearm so than i landed on the top of that hand. i heard a small click like sound and pain shot all the way up to my shoulder. i can still move my fingers except my thumb but there is very little swelling but severe pain. when i try to move my thumb or wrist pain shoots through my arm up to my shoulder and brings tears to my eyes now i have a very high pain tolerance as i have had stitches with no anesthetic so this pain is BAAAD. can it be broken and i dont know it? what do i need to do?

Definitely get it x-rayed - just because you can move your fingers doesn't mean it's not broken - a couple of years ago I walked around on a broken tib/fib/ankle for a week before getting it x-rayed because I thought it was only a bad sprain, so the ability to move a limb is not always an indication of whether it's broken or not.

You need to go to the ER and have it x-rayed immediatly. Please let us know how it goes:)
