pain in left leg
since having my child 4 yrs ago i have been getting a bad pain at the top of my leg it comes and goes and is very painful some times i cant even get up if im sat on the floor and it sends shooting pains down my leg and my leg starts to ache was wondering if anyone had any advice on what i should do

Mollyrae has offered some good suggestions. I would like to add that when we are pregnant our SI Joint has to"give and move" to allow for the growth and delivery of your baby.This is a normal happening. But at times this can cause problems in late pregnancy and after pregnancy. If not recognized and treated properly it can cause issues down the line such as the leg pain that you describe. Now it may not be related to your SI Joint but this is one of the often "missed" diagnoses.
The most important thing you can do is discuss this with you physician. Pain is the way our brain tells us there is a problem. It should not be ignored. You need all the energy and pain free time you can get to care forand enjoy your 4 year old child. They are such blessings. So good luck to you in your search for answers. Hello Sabwitch and welcome to MH. I'm sorry for the pain that you are suffering with. My question is: Has the Doctor been able to take any X-rays, CT scans or MRI of the lower Back? It sounds like a nerve issue involving the Lumbar region.
I would definitley make yourself a Doctors appt. and tell them your concerns. Sometimes as being a Mother, lifting a child can cause all sorts of Back problems.
