mental status changes after epidural

Hello,
I am a 32 year old female. I had a caudal injection done on 10-3-13 due to radicular pain to the toes of my left foot. I have had these injections in the past with  no issue. Last injection was 1 year prior. This injection was done in the office where the other injections were done in the hospital with diprivan given immediately. in the office. they started with numbing my back and placing the cathitor. I felt it going into my back and something hiting the bone. I screamed as it hurt a lot. the other doc came in and pushed the diprivan and I woke up later. in post op they sent me home with a butrans patch of 20 mg. a week later I called the doc as I felt dizzy and HR was 130. we removed patch. eventually I did go in for a blood patch as they did determine I had a leak. I started having severe migraines with left facial drooping that lead the to blood patch. the blood patch maybe helped for 2 days. and then my bp went up to 214/114 and admitted to hosptial for bp control and facial droop. I went back to the hospital again a few days later with the same severe headache because my face started to droop again and my speech started to slur. I had issue with name finding. I spent to days in the hospital and was released. from talking to the pain center they are saying that the steroids must have went up to the brain and to keep drinking fluids and it will get better. I keep deteriorating. I just finished my masters degree. I need help with doing my ADLS. I needed to be shown how to put on shoes. I only need to be shown once how to do it and then I am ok and retain how to do it but this cant be normal. I see a neurologist on the 18th. What in the world did they do to my brain? will it go back to normal???

You need to see a neurologist that is not affiliated in any way with the place where the procedure was performed. And contact your local bar for referral to a malpractice attorney. I would remain optimistic, but you have an issue with the people who performed this procedure. You can depend upon them circling the wagons.. You need copies of the report done during the procedure and all records.

I was able to get the hospital records for my admission for the past two weeks and everything is negative. the MRI's and MRA, and all the lab work as well. I did have a LP done were the initial information is negative but I don't have the cultures yet. The only thing found was a ovarian cyst that ruptured. One of the consults did mention about working me up possibly as a outpatient for a pseuotumor (?).
The only thing I know is I get the headaches several times a day. the worse the headache the worse the slurring of words. I am not myself at all. I feel like I am in a fog. I feel like I am using almost 2 parts of my brain to think. I run on "autopilot" essentially. If I have to think in a conversation I do have to stop pause think out a word and troubleshoot till i find it. I am very irritable.
I also do not understand complex paperwork for essentially anything where it has a bunch of steps or needs to it. anything other than where do you live come with trouble. i.e. where do you live if you pass a upside down cows (bizzare example lol).

I see neuro on the 18th. I hope to god they can figure this out. I am thinking maybe if they do a EEG they may find something. At this point if they did imaging and a LP and found nothing then what do they have left to find right?
