Hello LaLa,
I agree with Mollyrae. Your best bet s to visit the Pregnancy Forum. I know nothing about CP in pregnancy. You are wish to consider this when planning for a family.
It has been in the last month that we had a similar question on this forum. I believe that person did consult with the Pregnancy Forum and than of course her OBP.
Please let us know what you discover so we will be better equipped to answer this type of question in the future. Good luck to you. And take care, Tuck
Hello and welcome to MH
I have to disagree with some of what the last comment said. Your first step is to talk with your Doctor and have them refer you to An OB-GYN High Risk Specialist. They can give you the advise you need to suceed in your pregnancy. There are meds available that are non- narcotic and safe for you to take while pregnant. If you require Narcotics during your pregnancy, they will make sure that the baby is safe and withdrawl is not is not an issue. Do not take it apon yourself to trat your pain when pregnant, this is when it becomes unsafe for the baby.
Take care and good luck int he future,
Mollyrae

I've done a lot of research on pain meds while pregnant. Seems that the one drug that is mostly prescribed when women are pregnant would be vicodin. There will be addiction issues that the baby will have to deal with at birth. There are quite a few pm doctors that will not deal with pregnant women because of the liability issues.
