There is another condition called Tietze syndrome. It is an inflammation of the costochondral cartilages of the upper front of the chest. These conditions are similar but different. Your physician should be able to provide you with better answers.
Sorry to repeat my post but I am still wondering if you have Costochondritis. It is a common form of inflammation of the cartilage where ribs attach to the breastbone, the sternum.
