I am in such pain I don't know what to do even though I have half my meds my spine feels like it is coming out of my back. I have disc problems scoliosis and fibromyalgia and with this stress my pain has doubled . I don't know what to do because the medical records will follow me plus I live in a small town and I would drive 1hr to there office and even though the girl gave me an appointment to come back I am so embarrassed to go back. I want to go somewhere else. but how do i explain how those opanas were not showing up how they should? The old type always showed up and when they changed them i told my doctor they were not working right and he told me to take a pin and put a hole in the middle and maybe they would desolve better. I have not been right since they changed the format but I still take ALL my medication or i would not be able to fuction. i am now laying on the couch. Thank god i have a wonderful understanding husband who knows the pain I am in and he takes care of most everything right now. I am angry I have know way of proving I took my medication. i swear of everything preious in my life I took them. What is wrong with my body? How do I contact these people. Can they kick me out for doing this?
Thank you so very much for your information I appreciate it so much.
I'm really sorry that this has happened to you. It's just not right.
I had something similar happen to me but instead of sitting in an office, I was issued a letter stating that I violated my contract by using a different pharmacy. Well, I did not...the Pharmacy I used was on my contract.
I wrote to our State Medical Board and called Patient Relations and took care of the matter. In the end, I was fully reinstated. I did not go back to this particular Doctor but made an appt. to see one of the other Doc's in the clinic.
My advise to you is to write to your State Medical Board as I certainly feel that she crossed that line in the waiting room. I'm not so sure that she can stop one of your meds on the spot. I'm wondering if she needs to give you a 30 day heads up. Also, the drug tests out today are very accurate and the lab can tell the Doctor just how much should be in your system. So, she might have grounds to stand on.
Please retrieve all of your lab tests and than write a letter to the State Medical Board AND contact Patient Relations on her conduct in the waiting room. She can't do things like that... it is violating patient confidentiality.
Good luck,
Mollyrae
