Yeah, definitely have him see his doctor ASAP.  It sounds like he either has either a corneal injury or infection.  If its not treated promptly there could be permanent vision damage.

Welcome to the Pain Management Forum. Sorry to hear about your friend.

He should consult his PCP. We only have one set of eyes and they are far too precious to ignore when we have eye issues. I hope he will consult a physician asap.
