Up unti 2010, I was very active. I had a slip and fall in which I landed hard on my butt. After getting up, I had intense tingling in my lower back. Because I am a strong individual, I went home and after three months of the pain getting worse, I went to a chiorpractor.  I could not stand up straight or walk without a limp.  With the technics he used, I was able to walk, but after one year, the insurance company would not pay for further treatments. (sad). I was referred to PM (pain management). Because the doctor, had to follow the rules, he started off with the a series of injections, each injection only lasted 2 months. I then went for  R, L, R, R Rhizotomies.
I've had 3 insurance companies since my fall.  This new one, the cheapest I can afford (different from the first), will not pay for any radio requency lesioning injections. They say it is unfounded and an experiment.  I do know that I had relief from it.  My doctor is just as disgusted as I am that whatever he is trying does not work, including burning all the nerves in that area.  I am up the creek without a paddle and at the mercy of the insurance company who will not pay for my treatments.  So here we go again.  The wealthy can afford to get and pay for their own treatments, but it is the little guy who is paying $550 a month for insurance can't get treatment. Something is wrong with this!  If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know at lenore07407 at gmail. -thank you

Hello seesaw and welcome to the Pain Forum:

I don't know much about the Radio proceedure but there is a member who has had this done several times with great sucess. She goes every few months and it seems to work for her. She has had some pain after the initial proceedure but gets better with time. Please contact...Shellbell79...send her a Personal Message. I know she will be able to answer your questions. Please take care and have a nice Holiday Season,
