sinal cord stimulator

This is not a question, just an update.I had the surgery for the SCS. The doctor implanted it right over the nerves that I have pain with.Well it didn't work at all,no pain relief. So Metronics thinks it's irritating the nerves more giving me more pain,so far it was programmed 5 times. This is just a plain nightmare.

Hi Zimmy,

It is nice to hear from you. I am grateful for the update. But very, very sorry to hear that the SCS has not been helpful for you. No one should have to endure such a "nightmare."

I have discussed this procedure with my PCP. Her patients that have had this implant have not had desirable results. She says with my track record, "anything that can go wrong, will go wrong" that I should never consider a SCS. However when it does work it is wonderful. I was truly hoping for a better outcome for you.

Again thanks for the update. We are always here even if you just need to vent.

Take Care,
Tuck

I am sorry this is not working for you. I would assume that the doctor is ready to offer you other options as anything that causes more pain is not helping you at all.
Keep us updated and I really hope you do find some relief soon:)

I'm so sorry the SCS didn't work for you.  I've heard it does work for a lot of people.  This is one thing I really do not want to try while in pain management, but I will if it is suggested.  I hope there is something out there that will help you with the pain.
