Hi mae600,
First, I want to welcome you to the PM (Pain Management) Forum and let you know that we are glad you found this Forum. We are all CP (Chronic Pain) Patients that help each other with our own expertise and experiences that we have developed through our own CP Issues.
Wow, I'm so sorry to hear that you are experiencing all of this pain. It must be horrifically painful for you whenever you are on your feet. I hope that you will make an appointment with a Podiatrist or with your PCP, if you need a referral first, and get this extremely painful problem checked out so that you can get the relief that you both need and deserve!
I hope that you will keep us updated on what you find out from your Doctor.
I'm sending you "Good Thoughts" and we'll be looking for your update.........Sherry :)
I went thru this too..as soon as the warm weather came and started to wear sandals i would get this pain when walking...I saw a foot dr. and he told me that i had Plantar Fasciitis. It causes pain and inflammation of a thick band of tissue, called the plantar fascia, that runs across the bottom of your foot and connects your heel bone to your toes. Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain.
Plantar fasciitis commonly causes stabbing pain that usually occurs with your very first steps in the morning. Once your foot limbers up, the pain of plantar fasciitis normally decreases, but it may return after long periods of standing or after getting up from a seated position.
I went thru physical therapy for three months and pain went away..until last year it started again..Dr. did MRI and results this time was tendonitis..i did the same excercise that i did at the physical therapist and the pain went away..and have had no pain so far.. I am wearing now a sandal with back strap and more support on top...
I would see a foot dr. to make sure that there is not something more serious there.. WISH YOU LUCK..
