still suffering after first pain injection why

i have been to a pain managment clince and had my first lot of treatment ,but! it has not worked why!? i'm due another lot of treatment in the next week or so and worried that this won't work can you put me at ease.

If they don't hit the right spot the cortisone oftentimes will do next to nothing.  This happened to me with a severe tennis elbow.  Had to wait 8+ weeks for repeat injection and switched Dr's -- the next injection worked wonders!

These injections can vary. I have had them sometimes and they work great and then have had them and they did not work at all. I would suggest you tell your Dr that the last one did not work and ask about other options for you. The next one could very well work so if your willing to try again it may be worth it. They work very differently on everyone and everytime you get them you will get different results in my experience.
