Fussy Eater..Learning troubles

I have a step daughter whom is 9.. will be 10 in march.. She is in grade 4 and has trouble with pronoucing words, I have been working on it with her.. its mostly her TH.... any advice or anything i can do to help more? Also she seems to have problems with remembering things, we have to remind her to not slam doors, dont talk so loud.. etc.. she is amazing and I love her to death, but wondering if this is normal? Also she wont eat anything!!!  and she will seat there for hours and not touch it... any advice on that? Im kind of new at this.. I have been with my boyfriend for a year now, but his son lived with us and hes 13 and switching to a 9 year old gurl is much different.. I recently just had a baby boy so getting use to this mom thing.

Yes how about you focus on her positive side and praise her when you see her doing something good , children respond to care affection and praise,you say you love her that is great, so overlook the slammed door ,do not make an issue of the small  stuff,,is sounds as if she has had a lot going on in her life . As for eating ask her to come shopping and let her choose the foods she likes, and ask her to help you cook them, when she is at the table let her be in control and back off when she isnt hungry.she will eat so less worry from you.
