Information regarding bone marrow donation is available from the national marrow donor program at www.marrow.org.  Most donors are screened with a cheek swab, however blood draw will ultimately be required.  Parents of a child who needs a bone marrow transplant should speak with the treating doctors about the most efficient process at the hospital where the child is being treated.
