She needs an MRI (preferably a 3T) of the ankle for definitive diagnosis.
An x-ray will, however show any obvious break.
Documentation of an injury taking place during a school-approved activity is useful min nthe remote possibility there is permanant injury.
Certainly NO RUNNING or exercise until she has been seen by a physician.
Chances are it will heal without problems.
You can have her RICE it~Rest, Ice (in a cloth covered bag), Compress with ace bandage, and Elevate it. An XRAY is the best test to show if she's done any boney damage and if she was my daughter I'd be getting that done before she does any of her regular activities above.
