Drs cant give me an answer

My son is always getting sick. He is three years olds. He always gets fevers or sore throught or cold/flu like symptoms. hes had only 1 ear ache before (last month) and they are saying he has one now again. They only say this becuase his ear is red but he isnt complaining of pain and it isnt inflamed, just red. last time, he did complain. they gave us amoxacillan this time as well, but i feel like its on the verge of *please take this cause we dont know whats wrong with him* which is how i felt last time. they told me to take the amoxacillan for 10 days and if it didnt work, go back to the er. we had been there 2 times and now once for this time. What could be wrong with him? When he gets sick he doesnt eat, screams, throws up, is restless and cant sleep. and im telling you, ive missed atleast 3 days of work seperately every month for the past 8 months becuase of his sicknesses. Also, random bruising on his legs (but only his legs and he is a kid so who knows) HELP!

try taking him to an ENT... he should be seen by a specialist.

He has always had a runny nose and always has high grade fevers (102-104 in range) which is why i run to the hospital instead of my peds office. especially at 12:30 at night on a saterday. Last time at the ER they ran a bunch of blood tests (or so they said) and did take an ex ray of his tummy, (we were there for the ear ache) but all came up negative. they had done the ex ray because he was waking upo screaming about every 20 min and seemed to have alot of pain. I just dont know what to do anymore!

Hmmm... just off the top of my head... does he always have a runny or stuffy nose? I'm wondering about some kind of chronic sinus problem. Lots of things can cause ear pain besides infection. Are the fevers low grade (like 100 or less)?

I admire your questioning the antibiotic usage... more is not better unless they know for sure that there's an infection.

Is he running any fevers with the illnesses that he is having?I would ask the ped to run some blood work as cbc, crp, esr things like that. That will rule out a bunch of things. If he is not willing maybe its time to look for another ped. dr.
I am dealing with similar issues with my son and its going almost a year now.It started when he was 2 and he will be 3 in JUne.
He has extremely high fevers with no symptoms and sometimes there are symptoms.I know hos frustrating it is but you need to find a dr to listen to you.
I hope you get some answers.
