Fever with no symptoms of illness

My 3 year old daughter was sent home from daycare on Friday and again today (Monday) for a temp. of 100.2. Over the weekend she was perfectly fine (eating, playing, and sleeping normal). I am racking my brain over what could be causing the abnormal rise in her body temp. when she displays no symptoms of a cold. Maybe earache, tooth, or something else could be causing this? Please help solve this mystery? Sincerely,
IMAT

Thank you for that right on the nose comment.  My husband and I broke down and took her to the doctor's office.  They told us that it is a virus with fever and no other symptoms!  Just take Motrin every six hours!  Thank you for that!  The doctor said this virus is hitting kids hard right now.   Thanks again!

Hi.  My daughter is 2 and this happens every couple months to us.  However, her fevers usually run 102 - 105.  I don't take her to the hospital anymore until they reach 106 - they won't do anything anyway.  There is a virus going around right now with no other symptoms other than fever.  Almost all the kids in my daughter's daycare, along with her, got it.  As long as Tylenol or Motrin are helping I wouldn't worry about it unless it lasts more than 5 days or she gets other symptoms.
