Hemolitic Anemia
Hello!
Does anyone here know anything about Hemolitic Anemia in children? My 2 year old grandson and 2 month old grandson have inherited this from their father. The 2 year old takes prescription folic acid every day but this disease confuses me. In the last 4 weeks he has had pneumonia, stomache flu, and now has croupe. He never recovers from anything. He seems miserable and tired all the time. He has random fevers that come and go and now he has been complianing that his legs hurt. He plays for a while and then he melts down. He is only semi good if takes two-2 hour naps a day. I just feel so sorry for him. He has a hemolitic anemia doctor but I still don't feel like we know what to expect from this. My 2 month old granson has not had a full diagnosis et because he is too young but will get a total screening in Dec. Any help would be great.
