How much 10 week old eats

Last week my then 9 week old ate 5 ounces of formula 7 times a day for 35 ounces total. This week his feedings are completely  erratic. Sometimes he eats 5 ounces and sometimes 2-3 ounces 6 times a week. We did just change him to a soy formula so I did not know if that had something to do with it or if this is something I should worry about?

Anytime an infant that small has diarrhea you should take them to your pediatrician. Did you change him to a soy formula for a medical reason? If so then maybe the medical reason is why he is feeding erratically. If you switched him for no particular reason, maybe he is not tolerating the soy.
