Frustrated!

My son is 16 y.o., 6'4", and weighs about 290 pounds.  He takes in under 2500 calories a day when he does feel like eating.  He had had severe abdominal pain since he was about 11.  He has also experienced diarrhea, constipation, nausea, and chest pain.  Right now there is no diarrhea.  I will start with a typical day starting around 2 pm he starts to feel better; he does eat dinner and it does not matter what he eats because around 7 or 8 pm his stomach starts to hurt again; this is usually accompanied with nausea; sometimes he will even turn white when the pain is severe enough; the pain usually keeps him up at night till around 1 0r 2 am; when he gets up in the early morning his stomach is still hurting but starts to slowly subside until we get to 2 pm;  he usually cannot eat in the mornings either.  It doesn't seem to matter what kind of food he eats since the pain always occurs.
He is currently taking Nexium.  He has had an renal and abdiminal ultrasound, an upper GI w/a small bowel follow-through, a HIDA scan, and an EGD.  The HIDA scan had a 10% ejection and the EGD showed a small ulcer and some reflux.  The upper GI also showed accumulation of bile indicating an ulcer. Yet his stomach pain is usually below the belly button.
This is the second pediatric GI doctor we have gone to and her staff couldn't even find his chart today.  She wants to do an EGD (the first one was done by another doctor) and stated the ejection % was based on the average adult and not children, so she did not think he needs it removed.
We have heard conflicting scenarios and been on so many different medicines that we have become frustrated and don't know what to do or who to believe.  If you have any insight on this problem, we would greatly appreciate it.

Could he be allergic to certain foods and not know it?  My son, we found out, may be lactose interolant (you don't have to be born with that), because he was feeling sick all the time.  I took out lactose (milk, butter, cheese, yogurt) and he feels better, I start to add them in and he's not feeling well later that day.  Could your son be the same way?

Your post is very confusing.

Your son doesn't seem to have much "eating time" and has had problems eating since he was 11,  and yet he is VERY tall,  and is significantly overweight.   For a boy who couldn't eat since the age of 11, this is extremely odd to be almost off the charts tall,  and off the charts heavy.

Could it be that is overeating during the night and you don't notice large amounts of food missing from your home?  Or does he have a lot of expendable money and fast food places nearby where he's been taking in 4000 calories or more this whole time?

Best wishes.  What you say doesn't really match with his exceptional height and weight,  do you think?
