Infant with Huge Belly

My son was 11 lbs 4 oz and 23.5 inches when he was born.  He is now 20 months old.  He is always hungry and will eat until we "cut him off."  He then screams and cries and has a fit ever time we stop feeding him, even though he eats more than he should at meals.  His stomach is huge.  I keep asking the pediatrician and he says that he is just a big boy with a big appetite and to feed him healthy foods, which we do.  He also has constipation problems, and has to take Miralax daily to keep him from screaming when he had a BM.  I am worried that there is a problem.  Any thoughts?

I will assume he feeds himself , so put healthy amounts of food in front of him, let him eat himself, if he yells for more and you know he has had enough , distract him with a game ,read a book, do the jig, music soothes the savage breast, As the pediatrician has said he is okay ,if he is constipated  there are childrens probiotics now to help with this there is powdered probiotics you can sprinkle on their food  and also child yoghourts.
